Partner Biomedical Research Foundation Academy of Athens (BRFAA) 's high school outreach program occurs annually throughout the academic year. BRFAA researchers welcome students into their labs, sharing their expertise and insights. On December 15th and 16th, 2022, ESR5 Sonnal Lohia, alongside her colleagues, participated in this initiative, introducing students to proteomics and its practical applications. The students received instruction on sample preparation in proteomics, with demonstrations of SDS-PAGE Gels, and were given a tour of the LC-MS/MS instrument, including its operation. Additionally, the students were briefed on ongoing research projects and the significance of the topics. Some eager students engaged in personal conversations with the researchers to gain a deeper understanding of life in research and its potential as a career path, particularly expressing interest in experiences of living and studying abroad.
